- SYMPTOMS may include blistering, redness, itching and crustiness.
- CAUSES are an acute or chronic inflammation that may be produced by many
- irritants to the skin. Irritants may include plants such as chrysanthemum,
- ragweed and primrose; household items such as detergents, waxes, and
- polishes; fabrics such as wool synthetic fibers, fur, silk and leather;
- cosmetics such as deodorants, bleaches and dyes; chemicals such as mercury,
- chromates and pyrethrum; drugs such as tranquilizers and penicillin.
- TREATMENT. Cause identified. Soaks in tap water. Compresses, medication.
